This recipe is dedicated to my old man! Him and I live for apple pie. Growing up, he would always come home with a freshly baked apple pie just for us from the nearest bakery and we would dig in it for days with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it off! I decided it was time to finally create my own — and I am so proud of the outcome!
